What you'll do:

You will be the first dedicated head of business development at Brilliant. You'll play a lead role in identifying, prioritizing, and securing business opportunities with large companies that are actively recruiting top STEM talent. Brilliant has a large active userbase of college students and young professionals who are passionate about STEM, many of whom have competed at the top levels in national and international STEM competitions. We're looking for an experienced leader who wants to build and scale our recruiting relationships with companies that would most benefit from access to an exceptional talent pool. Specifically, you will:

  • Grow the list of companies with which we have recruiting agreements
  • Define the overall approach for specific verticals and create compelling sales propositions
  • Build, train, and manage a high-performing business development team from the ground up, setting and achieving ambitious revenue goals
  • Provide exceptional service to our prospects and customers
  • Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of accounts and implement improvements
  • Lead with charisma, a tenacious work ethic, and the scrappiness necessary to succeed at a small company


What we're looking for:

  • Previously built a high-performing business development team, or 5+ years of business development, sales, or other relevant client-facing experience at a consumer or enterprise technology company
  • A proven track record of managing revenue pipelines and delivering against revenue goals
  • An ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • A team player who can successfully work cross-functionally with various teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • An ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Enthusiasm for connecting high potential people with great career opportunities
